Almost 15 years ago, Steven stood with Amazon communities in Ecuador against Chevron as they won a $10 billion legal case after billions of gallons of cancer-causing oil waste was deliberately dumped into indigenous ancestral lands. Steven then faced an unthinkable backlash. Chevron's retaliation made Steven the first person prosecuted by a private corporation in the name of the government in U.S. history. Chevron’s lawyers took Steven’s passport, law license, bank accounts, and had him detained for almost three years.
Today, we're fighting back. We’re urging President Biden to pardon Steven Donziger, so he may continue his fight against Chevron, and secure justice for the indigenous peoples of Ecuador.…
